1k

A Few hours after his suspension from office by President Bola Tinubu, the Department of State Services (DSS) on Wednesday night said it has “invited” Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for questioning.

The spokesman for the secret police, Dr Peter Afunanya, said Bawa arrived a few hours ago at the headquarters of the DSS in Abuja.

“The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him,”
Afunanya said in a terse statement obtained by Persecondnews.

He was, however, silent on whether Bawa will be taken into custody or allowed to go home later in the day.
