Afro-pop music star, Temitope Adekunle, famously known as Small Doctor has dismissed insinuations making the rounds about musicians and their penchant for smoking and taking drugs.
The street singer with multiple hit tracks said it is wrong for people to assume that “musicians from the street”, as they call them in local parlance, are given to vices including smoking and drinking.
The Agege-bred singer observed that the wrong impression had gone on for a while, saying it was time somebody spoke against it and put it to rest.
According to him, this wrong impression people have of those who come from the streets is disturbing.
“They think that once you are from the streets, you can never be educated, you must be smoking and drinking and doing all sorts of things.
“I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. I don’t womanize. I don’t have any vices,” he declared.
He said he had got rid of such vices long before he shot into the limelight.
