Basking in the euphoria of her big win at the just-concluded African Magic Viewer Choice Award (AMVCA), where she clinched the Best Actress in a Comedy/ TV Series” category, Bimbo Ademoye has revealed how her dad waited for six hours at her first audition.

While Ademoye had become a household name in the entertainment industry as an actress and skit-maker with accolades flying in recognition of her craft, the actress said her dad drove her to her first audition and waited for six hours.

On the AMVCA award that saw her defeat industry’s heavyweights in the movie circle including Funke Akindele, Mercy Johnson and others to clinch the award, the actress said all she has become in the movie industry wouldn’t have been possible without her father’s support.

Ademoye, who took her award to her father’s house after the ceremony, described him as her biggest supporter and rock, adding that the hood where she grew up produced all the characters she displays in her craft.

“ I was born and bred in the hood where I got all the characters people see in the movies and other engagements I bring to life.

“I was raised in Ebube Meta and I am proud of who I am” she added. Sent from my iPhone,” she said
