For the umpteenth time, President Muhammadu Buhari has publicly acknowledged the unparalleled commitment, loyalty and dedication of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) as Vice-President.

He also described Osinbajo as a dedicated and loyal citizen with a strong desire to see Nigeria develop.

Buhari spoke at the launch of a book titled, “Osinbajo Strides: Defining Moments of an Innovative Leader”, written in honour of the vice president by a team of 25 journalists under the auspices of PYO COLLECTIVE.

Persecondnews reports that Buhari was represented at the occasion held virtually by Mr Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

Still lauding Osinbajo’s commitment to service particularly in serving the interests of the masses, Buhari expressed appreciation to his deputy for his selflessness and passion for excellence in the tasks assigned to his office.

The President recognized all of his visits to different parts of the country to identify with the common people.

“The Vice-President’s passion for excellence in everything he is involved with is admirable.

“Besides all of his official engagements as Vice President, we all saw this attribute exhibited by him right from the campaigns—how he ensured that the right things were done,” Buhari said.

Osinbajo, in his remarks, thanked the authors for the honour done to him.

The vice president praised the former Head of State, retired Gen. Yakubu Gowon, for his belief in a better Nigeria and for his impact and influence on major decisions, particularly on uniting Nigerians and promoting peace throughout the country.

Osinbajo also expressed appreciation to governors and other guests at the occasion for their support and cooperation during his tenure as Vice-President.

Other dignitaries at the event included the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Gov. Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau, Gov. Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom, and Mr Musa Akabe, the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State.

Former CBN Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, former Access Bank CEO Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, literary icon Chimamanda Adichie, and renowned broadcaster Kadaria Ahmed were also present.
