Probe of ex-CEO, Okonkwo, is malicious, not true — Fidelity Bank Plc

Fidelity Bank Plc has urged the public to disregard a fake news being bandied by an online publication that the Board of Directors was probing its former Managing Director/CEO, Mr Nnamdi Okonkwo.

A statement by Mr Ejike Ndiulo, Brand and Communications of the bank, and emailed to Persecondnews described the story as entirely false, malicious and should be discountenanced.

It states:”Our attention has been drawn to false information posted on some online platforms alleging that the Board of Directors of Fidelity Bank Plc has approved a probe of our former Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo.

‘Mr.  Nnamdi Okonkwo served the bank meritoriously as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer between 2014 and 2020 and led his team to achieve impressive results.”

 

 

The statement assured that the Board of Directors would continue to hold Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo in high esteem and wish him well in his future endeavours.
