Few days after the house of the Seriki Fulani in Ibarapa area of Oyo State was razed, mystery fire has gutted the Ibadan home of popular Yoruba self-styled people’s liberator, Sunday Adeyemo, a.k.a Sunday Igboho.
The fire occurred at 3.00a.m. on Tuesday at Igboho’s house in Soka area of Ibadan, reports Persecondnews.
Property worth millions of naira were reportedly destroyed by the fire including Plasma television sets, air conditioners and furniture.
The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu had allegedly ordered the arrest of Igboho following his visit to lgangan in Ibarapa last week to evict the Seriki Fulani for being the mastermind of kidnappings, rapes and killings in the area which resulted in violent clashes.
The State Chief Security Officer, Gov. Seyi Makinde had also asked the police to arrest Igboho and other trouble makers.

Confirming the fire at Igboho’s house, the Director of Operations, Oyo State Fire Service, Mr Ismail Adeleke, said no life was, however, lost in the incident.

The fire only affected the Waiting Room and the corridor of the building; investigation into the incident is ongoing to ascertain its cause, he said.

But the State Police Command attributed the fire to the handiwork of some yet-to-be identified hoodlums.

Spokesman Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed that the command had  received a report on the incident.
