Corruption charges: FIFA slams 5-year ban on CAF President, Ahmad Ahmad

The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), says it has suspended the President of  Confederation of African Football(CAF), Ahmad Ahmad, for five years over corruption allegations

The global soccer governing body announced the suspension on Monday.

Persecondnews recalls that Ahmad has been the President of the then African Football Confederation since March 2017 and is standing re-election.

The Egyptian, whose corruption allegation  has been lingering for a while had faced FIFA Disciplinary Committee.

Among those eyeing the top CAF job is the President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnic.
