Anti-smuggling operations: Nigeria Customs dissolves, reconstitutes National Strike Force

Poised to sustain the present border closure and the anti-smuggling campaign,  the Comptroller General of the Nigeria  Customs Service, retired Col. Hameed Ali, has dissolved the service Strike force.

 

In its place, a new national crack team has been inaugurated, according to a statement emailed to Persecondnews.

 

The new Coordinator for the Zone A is Deputy Comptroller A.B. Shuaibu, while Assistant Comptroller E. Sarumi will be his deputy.

 

Zone B will be headed by Deputy Comptroller Olorukooba with Assistant Comptroller Jamairi as his deputy while Zone C will be headed by Deputy Comptroller M.A. Yusuff with Assistant Comptroller E. E. Ita in charge of Operations.

 

The Strike Force is a combination of security personnel from agencies like Customs, Police, Army, DSS and Immigration.
