Ojowo-Ijebu monarch, Banjo, expresses condolences on Kashamu’s demise

More prominent Nigerians have continued to send condolences to the government and people of Ogun State on the death of ex- Senator Buruji Kashamu with the latest coming from an Ijebu monarch, Oba Abdulrasheed Abayomi Banjo, Orilonise 1, the Olokine of Ojowo.

 

In a condolence message, the traditional ruler said: “We lost a dogged fighter, a political colossus, friend of the poor and traditional institution. Regardless of what his enemies might say, no one lives forever and we are persuaded Allah will grant him Aljanah firdaus .

 

“His untimely death confirms the inevitability of death and supremacy of God on man irrespective of man’s achievement and status .We see it as an act God that cannot be queried.’’

 

 

The statement signed by Hon. Johnson Oriowo, the Secretary, Ojowo Traditional Council and made available to Persecondnews, expressed deep sympathy to the Kashamu family, Sopelukale who doubles as the acting Chairman of Ijebu Igbo Council of Obas, Ijebu Igbo Muslim Community, all Obas in Ijebu Igbo as well as sons and daughters of Ijebu Igbo.

 

“May the good God grant all of us the fortitude to be the irreparable loss, forgive his sins , take care of the family and appoint a worthy replacement for the town.’’
