Sanusi will spend the rest of his life in asylum at a yet-to-be disclosed community in the state, report said.

Armed security operatives, who had kept Sanusi under house arrest shortly before his removal by the Kano State Government, had whisked him out of the ancient city.

“Just before he was taken away from the city, Sanusi was said to have been put under house arrest by a combined team of of DSS, Police and the Military,’’ a resident said.

Barring last minute hitch or delay, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, is set to announce the new emir.

Kingmakers, it was gathered, are being mobilized to appoint an Emir.
