COVID-19: Health Minister announces second case, again in Ogun

About weeks after an index of Coronavirus was first discovered in Nigeria through Ogun State, the Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, has announced a second case in the country.

This second case is a contact of the index case in the state.

The victim had contact with the Italian that brought coronavirus to Nigeria and is currently under isolation.
An alert about the second case came from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Abuja on Monday via a tweet.
It tweeted: “This second case is a contact of the index case in Ogun State.
“The new case has been in isolation and was tested as part of our strategy to test all contacts of the index case.”
