With just two more local government areas to go, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday evening announced the postponement of the collation of results of Saturday’s governorship poll until Monday.

INEC is to resume collation at 9.00 am on Monday.

So far, only the results of Ibaji and Lokoja council areas are outstanding and reports say the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is leading in 11 council areas including Ogorimagongo, Ijumu, Adavi, Okene, Kabba Bunu, Koton Karfe, Okehi, Mopamoro, Ajaokuta and Olamaboro.

The People Democratic Party (PDP) is dominating votes in eight council areas such as Omala, Igalamela/Odolu, Yagba East, Yagba West, Idah and others.

Meanwhile, the PDP candidate in the election, Engr. Musa Wada has rejected the results declared so far.

Persecondnews reports that the state has 21 local government areas.
