The Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, on Friday morning jetted off to the neighboring Niger Republic.

While there, Osinbajo is scheduled to represent Buhari at an Extra-Ordinary Summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The summit, among others, is expected to discuss the political crisis in Guinea Bissau.

Buhari is currently in the United Kingdom on “a two-week private visit’’.

On Monday, the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr Abba Kyari, travelled to London to present a clean copy of a bill to Buhari for his assent, a development which generated a lot of criticisms across the country.

Agitated Nigerians said it showed that all is not well in the Presidency, as the president had failed to transfer power to Osinbajo to sign the bill in his absence.

The bill, “the Deep Offshore (and Inland Basin Production Sharing Contract) Act (as amended).

Vice-President Osinbajo is expected back to Abuja later in the day.
