The Court of Appeal sitting in Kaduna has upheld the  nullification of election of spokesman of the Senate, Dayo Adeyeye and ordered the lndependent National Electoral Commission  (INEC) to issue Certificate of Returns to his challenger, Senator Biodun Olujimi of PDP.
The Eleection Tribunal had nullified Adeyeye’s declaration as the winner of the Ekiti South Senatorial election held on February 23 and declared Senator Biodun Olujimi as the winner.

Adeyeye, ex-spokesman of the People’s Democratic Party, had approached the Court of Appeal to set aside the judgement.
Justice Uzor Anyanwu upheld the judgment of the tribunal and ordered INEC to issue certificate of return to Olujimi.
Meanwhile, a PDP leader, Otunba Segun Adewale a.k.a Aeroland, has hailed the appeal court judgment that has returned Olujimi to the Senate.
“All hope is not totally lost in the Nigeria’s judicial system,” he said in a congratulatory message.

He urged Adeyeye to accept the final verdict and take the judgement in good faith.
