The body of an apparent stabbing victim was discovered in an Amuwo-Odofin apartment in Lagos Saturday, prompting police to launch a murder investigation.
Per Second News gathered that the incident occurred on 11th August around 6.30pm.
The deceased, Alhaji Bashir Muyideen was stabbed multiple times in the neck and various parts of the body by one Mufutau Mogaji, aged 37 years old of Mile 2 Central mosque Amuwo Odofin.
The incident occurred at block 113,flat 3 Mile 2 Estate Amuwo Odofin.
The suspect slaughtered the old man right inside his house with a kitchen knife, said neighbours. The murder weapon, a kitchen knife was left at the scene.
No motive was given for the murder as Festac Police are investigating the matter.
