A former Minister of state for ‎Works Prince Dayo Adeyeye, has defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State.

According to him, the decision to join the ruling party was to wrestle power from Governor Ayo Fayose by working for the victory of APC and its candidate, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, to rescue Ekiti.

Adeyeye, was the immediate past National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, he resigned from the party barely 48 hours after he was beaten to the PDP governorship ticket in Ekiti state by incumbent deputy governor, Prof Kolapo Olusola.

Adeyeye accused Fayose of presiding over “the worst, unprecedented looting of Ekiti treasury in history” and scheming to install a stooge to continue having access to the treasury after his tenure might have ended.

He alleged that Fayose jerked up the contract of the Ado-Ekiti flyover from N5 billion to N17 billion to use the project to enrich himself and pauperize Ekiti masses.
