Nigerian Air Force Aircraft Crashes In Kaduna

A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Air Beetle Aircraft on Thursday crashed in Kaduna while on a mission.
One of the NAF’s experienced instructor pilots, who was on board the Aircraft lost his life in the mishap.

A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya, said the cause of the incident is unknown.

Adesanya said the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) has directed the immediate constitution of a board of inquiry to determine the immediate and remote causes of the crash.

The Air Force spokesman said the unfortunate incident is a tragic reminder of the hazards associated with the flying profession.

He said the Chief of Air Staff and the entire NAF family commiserate with the relatives of the late instructor pilot.
