Former Green Eagles Star Kelechi Emeteole Dies of Cancer at 66

Former Green Eagles player, Kelechi Emeteole, died on Wednesday in an Indian hospital after a battle with cancer of the throat.

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo, recently donated about $6,500 to the former Rangers International coach to settle some medical bills.

He reportedly died before a corrective surgery could be performed on him.

Emetole, who was known as The Caterpillar,  would be remembered for his all-round performance in the five-year period he wore the green and white jersey of the Green Eagles
