BREAKING: APC Picks Nentawe Yilwatda as National Chairman

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has settled on a new national chairman, with Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda emerging as the leader of Nigeria’s ruling party.

Yilwatda, the current Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and a former university academic, replaces Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who recently resigned from the position on health grounds.

His appointment was ratified by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 24, after a late-night meeting in Abuja between President Bola Tinubu and APC governors.

He was sworn in at exactly 2:50 pm.
