Barely two months after a horrific fire ignited by a Dangote trailer claimed the lives of 10 individuals at the Karu bridge, tragedy struck again on Monday.

This time, along the Kugbo-Nyanya expressway around 2:50 PM, a Dangote trailer tangled with a dispatch rider, whose identity remains unknown, and a J5 bus bearing the registration WAM 45 XA.

According to a statement released to Persecondnews on Monday by SP Josephine Adeh, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) command’s spokesperson, the truck, identified by its registration number KPF 305 XA and driven by Isa Salisu, reportedly experienced brake failure, leading to the collision.

The aftermath left three individuals with severe injuries.

The statement reads: “One victim was rushed to Asokoro District Hospital, while two others were taken to Nyanya General Hospital for medical attention.

“The affected vehicles have been towed to the police station for further investigation.

“The FCT Police Command urges motorists to ensure proper maintenance of their vehicles and adhere strictly to traffic regulations to prevent avoidable incidents.”
