This development was announced at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held at the State House, Abuja, on Monday.

According to the Special Adviser om Media and Public Communication to President Tinubu Mr. Sunday Dare, the president is “committed to expanding the frontiers of educational opportunities and infrastructure.”

This commitment is evident in the government’s efforts to increase access to quality education, particularly in the private sector, he said.

The newly approved universities are:

– New City University, Ayetoro, Ogun State

– University of Fortune, Igbotako, Ondo State

– Eranova University, Mabushi

– Minaret University, Ikirun, Osun Annex

– Abubakar Toyin University, Oke-Agba, Kwara State
