After 43 years of service and retirement from Living Faith Church, a.k.a.Winners Chapel, Bishop David Abioye, Vice President to the founder, Bishop David Oyedepo, has started his own ministry.
Abioye, who joined the church at the age of 19, retired at 62 years about three weeks ago at the Abuja headquarters church.
Persecondnews recalls that Abioye retired from Living Faith Church, Goshen City, in Nasarawa State, second largest to the Cannanland national headquarters of the church in Ota, Ogun State.
The church is a significant branch of the Living Faith Church Worldwide and served as Bishop Abioye’s base before his retirement.
His farewell service took place on Friday, October 18, 2024, in Durumi, Abuja.
Abioye’s retirement aligns with the church’s “mandate,” the operational guidelines of the church.
In a recent documentary released on his YouTube channel, Abioye revealed that he would expand his ministry but maintained that he would still be in “close communication with Bishop Oyedepo and the Living Faith Family.”
However, in a post on X on Wednesday, Abioye announced that he would unfold “The New Chapter” on Thursday.
The cleric on Thursday announced a new programme tagged “Hour of Revival, to be held outside the church.
Announcing the crusade, with the theme ‘Revive Us Again,” Abioye said it will be held on November 23 and 30, 2023, at the National Stadium Velodrome in Abuja.
He urged volunteers to register for the programmes.
