FIFA has revealed that the draws for the newly expanded Club World Cup will take place in Miami on December 5.

The highly anticipated event will determine the eight groups of four teams that will compete in the tournament, scheduled to kick off in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025.

The draw ceremony will commence at 6 pm GMT, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for the 32 participating teams.

Among the top contenders are Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich, all vying for the coveted title.

The revamped Club World Cup has undergone significant changes, expanding from seven teams to 32 sides.

The new format will feature eight groups of four teams, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage.

The competition will culminate in the final, with no third-place match.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino recently announced that Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami will kick off the tournament at Hard Rock Stadium, home of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins, on June 15.

The newly expanded Club World Cup will be played every four years, with the host for the 2029 edition yet to be determined.

Manchester City will look to defend their title, having won the trophy for the first time in their history with a 4-0 victory over Fluminese.

The Citizens will face stiff competition from other top clubs, but their experience and skill will make them a formidable force in the tournament.
