I regret not having babymamas – Skales Shares

Nigerian singer Skales has opened up about his deep emotional struggles, revealing his regret over not having children.

The artist, known for his hit song Jogo, recently shared how his family history has impacted his view on parenthood.

Speaking candidly, Skales disclosed that he is the last living member of his bloodline, a realization that weighs heavily on him.

“I’m the only one left in my family,” Skales said in an interview.

“It’s something that hits hard because when my mum passed away, I realised there isn’t much of my bloodline left but me.”

The singer, visibly moved, explained that this loss has made him reconsider some of his past decisions.

Skales, who was once married, saw his marriage fall apart after a few years.

Despite his public persona as a successful artiste, he shared that the pressure of carrying on his family’s legacy has been overwhelming.

“A lot of people are looking to me to continue the family line. I’ve never felt that kind of pressure before,” he admitted.

Reflecting on his life decisions, Skales confessed that one of his biggest regrets is not having children.

“If I’m being honest, I regret not having babymamas,” the singer said.

“At least I would’ve had a piece of my family to carry on, but now it feels like time is slipping away.”

The loss of his mother, who was a central figure in his life, left Skales feeling alone.

He explained that her death marked the end of an era in his family.

“When she passed, it hit me that there’s no one else,” he said. “It’s just me now, and that’s a tough pill to swallow.”

Despite these struggles, Skales has maintained a successful career in the Nigerian music industry, producing hit songs and remaining a prominent figure.

However, loss and a persistent sense of isolation have clearly marked his personal life.

Fans and fellow celebrities have expressed their support for Skales, with many urging him to focus on his future and the possibility of starting a family later on.

The singer, though, remains reflective. “I still have time, but it’s just not the same. There’s a part of me that wishes I’d made different choices earlier,” he said.
