Manchester City cruised to a convincing 4-0 victory over Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League, matching a record previously set by Manchester United for most consecutive unbeaten matches in the competition.

City’s triumph, courtesy of goals from Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden, Erling Haaland, and James McAtee, marked their 25th unbeaten match in the Champions League, a feat last achieved by Manchester United between 2007 and 2009.

Manager Pep Guardiola also broke a record held by Sir Alex Ferguson, with City’s 13th win by four or more goals in the Champions League during his tenure.

Guardiola’s side will hope to make it two wins in a row when they come up against Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday.
