Breaking: Tinubu swears in Kekere-Ekun as 23rd Chief Justice of Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as Nigeria’s 23rd Chief Justice in an acting capacity, pending formal confirmation by the Senate.
On Friday, Kekere-Ekun took the oath of office and signed the oath register at 11.40 a.m. in the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja.
Kekere-Ekun from Lagos takes over from Ariwoola, who took office on June 27, 2022, and stepped down on Thursday, having reached the compulsory retirement age of 70 years.
