Following the Thursday protest in Lagos State, socio-economic activities are once again thriving, with the usual vehicular movements across the Lagos metropolis.

According to Persecondnews, some traditionalists in Ikorodu provided some resistance during the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests held in different parts of the state.

Improved vehicular movements and business activities were noticed at Okota, Ejigbo, Isolo, Lekki, and other areas.

While street and roadside trading increased, shops, malls, and other business establishments opened.

It was observed that people are now going about their regular activities.

At the God is Good Motors premises, also on Okota Road, a staff member who did not want his name mentioned said that the company transported passengers to Asaba today.

On the Jakande Gate axis of Isolo, business activities picked up on the second day of the protest.

Access Bank, First Bank, and others also opened for business.

A resident, Mrs. Esther Agbonifo, was delighted that socio-economic activities were picking up.

Agbonifo said the protesters had made their voices heard and did not need to carry out the action for 10 days as they planned.

“We need to let the government know we are suffering, but they (the protesters) should not let the protest last for 10 days because hoodlums might hijack it to cause problems,” she said.

At Lekki Phase 1, there was peace and quiet, with socioeconomic activities going on unimpeded.

Also at Ikeja and Iyana-Ipaja, the usual buying and selling has resumed with some policemen stationed in strategic locations.
