Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC)
A team of 84 Nigerian athletes are to represent the nation in 12 different sports at the Paris 2024 Olympics which begins officially on Friday.
The country’s athletes to the global celebration of sportsmanship are largely female, with significant presence from female soccer and basketball teams.
The team will also be participating in Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Canoeing, Cycling, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, Wrestling, Weightlifting, and Swimming.
Tony Nezianya, the Press Officer of Team Nigeria, who released the list of the athletes as ratified by the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) and the Federal Ministry of Sports on Thursday, disclosed that they had started moving into the Games Village in Paris from their training base in Germany.
