The 142nd National Economic Council (NEC) meeting is currently underway at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, with Vice President Kashim Shettima presiding.

The meeting has in attendance several key members of President. Bola Tinubu’s economic team.

The NEC is a legally established entity responsible for providing expert guidance to the president on economic matters, comprising a diverse membership that includes the vice president, all 36 state governors, the Central Bank Governor, the Finance Minister, and additional key stakeholders.
