Abia Gov. Alex Otti has paid a condolence visit to the 144 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, promising justice and support to the families of five soldiers killed in Aba during IPOB’s sit-at-home order enforcement.

He condemned the tragic and dastardly acts, promising action.

Otti expressed his deep sympathy to the army and the victims’ families, outlining his government’s commitment to the bereaved.

The governor, deeply moved by the incident, condemned the attack, labeling it a dastardly act perpetrated by criminals intent on destabilizing the state.

He said: “It is very sad, but we must identify those responsible and ensure they face the consequences.”

Otti provided their children with automatic scholarships and promised legislative action to ensure continuity.

Brig.-Gen. Olusola Diya, Commander of 14 Brigade Ohafia, promised that the army will leave no stone unturned in investigating the killings and bringing those responsible to justice.

“We are determined to bring to justice those responsible for this heinous act.”

Diya said the attack resulted in the destruction of two military vehicles and the theft of weapons, highlighting the severity of the incident.
