Kano Emir Sanusi, at Jumma’t prayer, says he has no doubts about God’s plan

For the first time since his reinstatement, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi, attended Jumma’t prayer in Kano on Friday, urging absolute trust in God’s plan.

In a sermon, Sanusi urged believers to embrace divine decrees with humility and total surrender.

On Friday, Sanusi stated this at the Kofar Arewa Central Mosque during Jumma’t prayer.

He stressed the need to believe in God’s omnipotence, especially as the Islamic calendar approaches Zhul Hijja, a month known for its spiritual benefits.

He said:“Whoever believes that Allah alone gives everything must take the decision of Allah wholeheartedly. No one asks Allah’s reasons for anything.”

Speaking on the concept of destiny in Islam, Sanusi also said:”We were told that whoever did not accept destiny is from Allah; his belief is not complete. One should be thankful in good and bad situations.

“We must believe that whatever happens to us is predestined from God, and what we couldn’t have is from Him.”

Kano City was on edge earlier today due to reports that the two rival emirs planned to lead Jumaat prayers at Palace Central Mosque, which sparked fears of a potential confrontation between the leaders’ supporters, Persecondnews recalls.

Usaini Gumel, the Kano State Commissioner of Police, later refuted the news, stating on Friday that the reports claiming Bayero would lead the Friday prayers were untrue.

He said:”The police will continue to provide necessary security to ensure that it will enable residents to observe their Friday congressional prayers peacefully without threats to their lives or property.”

He appealed to the public to provide reliable tips on suspicious individuals, enabling swift security responses and maintaining safety in the state.
