The Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has said the mission to reshape and further develop the standard of law enforcement and policing in Nigeria is on course.

Addressing participants at a three-day Criminal Investigation Workshop in Lagos for Detectives of the Force Criminal Investigation Department

Annex, Alagbon, the I-G highlighted the imperativeness of the workshop, which he noted was a right step in achieving the mission.

Persecondnews reports that the highlight of the event was the presentation of a joint award by the police to a philanthropic organization, Rosula Foundation, and a construction firm, Nehemiah Grace Developers Ltd. (NGDL), for their services to the force over the years.

Egbetokun said the thrust of Force CID in Nigeria was founded on competence and professionalism, adding that the workshop was to provide initiative for all members of the force to respond appropriately.

The I-G urged participants to harness the gains of the workshop with an open mind, share experiences, and embrace collaboration in the discharge of their duties.

He expressed gratitude to Princess Osula, who, according to him, has consistently extended her humanitarian gestures to the Police Force in every area of their need.

The Group Managing Director of NGDL, retired Brig.-Gen. Emico Eruwa, received the joint award on behalf of the foundation’s founder, who is also the Executive Vice-Chairman of NGDL, Princess (Mrs.) Rosemary Osula Mku-Atu.

Receiving the joint award on behalf of the organizations, Eruwa thanked the I-G for the honor given to Princess Osula Mku-Atu, expressing her personal desire to continue to support the force as a matter of patriotic obligation.

The NGDL team, which was led to the occasion by Eruwa, included retired ACP Tunde Sunmonu, retired ACP John Ajigidi, Mrs. Dora Ogbu, the company’s public relations officer, retired SP Bimpe Shodeinde, retired CSP (Mrs.) Beatrice Omeneki, Mrs. Jennifer Nakpodia, and Mr. Vincent Ewere, among others.
