In the latest 16 appointments announcement by President Bola Tinubu on Saturday, a former Deputy Governor of Lagos, Mrs Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, has returned as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals.
The current Lagos State Head of Service, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola, is now the Principal Secretary to the President.
Tanko Yakasai, Chioma Nweze, Abiodun Essiet, Abdulhamid Yahaya Abba, were appointed to serve as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement in five geo-political zones of the country.
Yakasai is for North West, Essiet North Central, Nweze South East, Yahaya Abba North East.
Also appointed is Moremi Ojudu, first daughter of Sen. Babafemi Ojudu, the former Political Adviser to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.
Moremi, who supported the Tinubu campaign, will serve as SSA on community engagement for the Southwest.
Persecondnews recalls that Muri-Okunola, a 51-year-old lawyer, joined the Lagos State Civil Service in 2001 as Personal Assistant to the then Governor Tinubu.
In 2005, Tinubu appointed Muri-Okunola the Executive Secretary of the Land Use and Allocation Committee in the Ministry of Lands while in December 2018, he was appointed Permanent Secretary and thereafter, the Head of Service in the administration of ex-Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode.
