The Nigeria Police High Command said in Abuja that it is not aware of deployment of its operatives at the Abuja residence of the Governor of Central Bank, Mr Godwin Emefiele.

The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, denied any knowledge of the presence of armed policemen at the home of Emefiele at No. 8, Colorado St., Maitama, Abuja.

Persecondnews had reported that the apex bank chief executive officer returned to the country on Sunday night and reported for duty on Monday amid water-tight security.

Dozens of soldiers had accompanied Emefiele to the office amid threat of arrest by the operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) over alleged terrorism financing and graft.

In a dismissive reaction, Adejobi said: “I am not aware”.
