Why I’m signing music producers, songwriters to Mavin — Don Jazzy

Music executive and producer, Don Jazzy, has hinted about his plans to sign music producers and songwriters to his record label.

Don Jazzy is the founder of Mavin Records, a music label that houses and runs the music affairs of some of Nigeria’s music stars including Rema, Oladips, Johnny Drill, Ayra Star and others.

Sharing his intention to keep encouraging not just music artistes but also producers, engineers and songwriters, Don Jazzy said it was important to celebrate those who make artistes heard and recognized the producers.

He noted that many people don’t pay attention to those who make thing work for music artistes, hence his resolve to bring them on board so they can be part of the family and be more productive.

The music producer also pointed to the fact that no artiste can wake up one day and say he is self-made.

“The song writers and music producers are the backbones of artistes but some of them don’t get celebrated because they don’t have the right platforms and structure that could guide and support them.”
