Horrific! ex-Anambra lawmaker beheaded, the second in one month

Another horrendous fatal attack has been launched against a former lawmaker in Anambra State, Nelson Achukwu.

According to report,  Achukwu, who represented Nnewi South ll Constituency in the State House of Assembly in the administration of Gov. Chris Ngige, was beheaded by some gunmen.

He was accused of providing information for military authorities.

Persecondnews recalls that Achukwu, a physically-challenged person, was abducted a few months ago but was later released after his abductors found him not guilty of the allegation.

About three weeks ago, Achukwu was abducted from his house in Mkpor community, and was beheaded after his family reportedly paid N15 million as ransom to the abductors.

His headless body was later found at a riverside.

Confirming the incident, the spokesman for Anambra Police Command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the deceased lawmaker’s body was found on Tuesday between the boundary of Uke and Ukpor communities.

He said:“His decapitated body was found at the back of Ulasi Rivers and was quickly buried by the family on Tuesday evening as the body was already decomposing.

“Efforts were being made to rescue him (from his abductors) before this unfortunate development’’.
