Aftermath of second daughter’s wedding: First Lady, Aisha, says she is grateful to God

For the consummation of her daughter’s wedding in a private ceremony in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Friday, Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has expressed gratitude to God.
Excited Aisha, on her verified Instagram page, @aishambuhari, expressed her gratitude to God as her daughter, Hanan, on Friday got married to Turad Sha’aban.
Hanan is a graduate of Photography from Ravensbourne University, England while the groom, Turad, is a Special Adviser to the Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola.

He is the son of a former lawmaker, Mahmud Sani Sha’aban, who represented Zaria in the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007.

Hanan, is the second daughter of President Buhari to get married since he assumed office in 2015.

Zahra had in December 2016 married Ahmed Indimi, son of oil billionaire, Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi at an elaborate ceremony.

The first lady also posted some photographs of the couple and wrote “#HamadForever. Alhamdulilahi.”

The message attracted numerous goodwill messages to the couple and the President’s family.

In a video she posted showing dignitaries including Governors Mai Buni of Yobe and Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi,  the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunnusi,  some ministers among others, with the Chief Imam of State House, officiating at the wedding held at the forecourt of the State House.

Buhari also expressed gratitude to those who attended The occasion.

“Today is a great and happy day for my family as we witnessed the wedding of my daughter, Aisha Hanan Buhari to Mohammed Turad Sani Sha’aban.

“I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of goodwill and support from family, friends and well wishers. Let me use this opportunity to thank everyone that graced the occasion with their presence is sense and those that could not, for the understanding that at this time of global pandemic and the need to strictly adhere to the advice of our health authorities necessitated limited gathering.

“We appreciate your prayers for blessed union, for the couple as they begin their marital life,” she wrote.
