Shamefaced local community traditional head, Rasheed Sholabi, is now cooling his heels at the Ogun Police cell in Abeokuta for serially raping his teenage daughter for several years, turning her to a live-in partner.

Sholabi, who heads Oose-Agbedu-Ajibawo in Owode in the Yewa area of the state was apprehended following a report to the Owode Divisional Police headquarters by the hapless 15-year-old daughter.

The local chief has been raping his daughter for the past four years at the age of 11 years, according to investigations.

As a result of the ceaseless and unbroken years of raping her, the girl’s private part had been badly affected as she now finds it difficult to control her urine.

It was learnt that the horny and promiscuous father took undue advantage of the girl, who lost her mother at age two years.

Commenting on the incident, the spokesman for Ogun Police Command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed that the village head was already in police net.

He said the operation that led to his arrest was supervised by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Olabisi Elebute, who swooped on the palace to fish out the traditional ruler.

Oyeyemi said in a statement that the Police Commissioner, Mr Edward Ajogun had directed that the suspect should be transferred to the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation.

“He will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.’’

Persecondnews recalls that Ajogun, who assumed office three weeks ago, had read riot act to criminals to keep off the state, promising to deal with them decisively.
