As part of efforts to enforce the COVID-19 protocol and decongest its banking halls, the United Bank for Africa (UBA) has asked its customers to take advantage of its upgraded mobile banking application on their phones.

The App which has new features will enable customers to perform unlimited transactions right on their mobile phones from the comfort of their homes, offices or cars.

UBA’s Group Head, Digital Banking, Mr Samson Aneke, who spoke on the user-friendly new features of the App at an online media parley on Monday, said it would help to decongest banking hall and facilitate social distancing among the few customers who still need to come to the bank.

Aneke explained that one of the new features — Premium Lifestyle – would enable customers who subscribe to enjoy access to free online medical consultation amid Covid-19 pandemic.

“With the new interface provided by the App, the user can hide his or her account balance from the homepage, he can see all the transfer options including the saved beneficiary option at a glance and can even order food for delivery via the App.”
