Dear WHO,

This is cheering you and saying well done for what you have done so far in handling the covid-19 pandemic. There is certainly a lot more to do. I can also understand your exertion in dealing with many suspicions around the world on the true intent of your actions & purported inaction.

In view of the fast-growing suspicions by many countries & people (howbeit justifiably so) as to your true intent of actions & advice, it is very expedient for you to understand that, being SEEN as OBJECTIVE is mostly nearly synonymous to being objective. In most professions, an underlining component of the code of ethics is, ‘the moment the public and or consumers of your services SEE you as NOT objective in the delivery of your services, it no longer really matter whether you are objective or not, you are as good as ‘NOT objective’.

The Madagascar claimed ‘covid-19 cure syrup’ scenario readily comes to mind here amongst many other scenarios. Since you (WHO) has both the financial and especially the human resources to effectively and speedily carry out the test/ trial of the said drug, a more OBJECTIVE & EFFECTIVE action you can take is to offer Madagascar both your financial and human resource to help quickly carry out the test/ trial of that covid-19 drug so as to establish the definite claimed efficacy of the drug within the shortest possible time. It is understandable that drugs testing/ trial take a long process to complete, but just like many other urgent researches/ trials currently ongoing around the world in search for covid-19 cure, this desperate time does not require the normal slow process or witting/ unwitting discouragement of good efforts & innovation taking by countries (however less-powerful the country seems in the county of nations). Hence, the growing suspicion around the world as to your real intent.

It is however not too late to promptly douse the suspicions of the public by taking actual steps that will show the referred countries that you (WHO) are truly interested in their solutions and ready to promptly deploy the necessary resources towards the covid-19 cure coming from them, rather than your actions and advice making many believe that you are only interested in researches for cure/ solutions coming from just some interest groups.

It is therefore worthy of note that, when the public begin to believe an organisation is not objective nor trustworthy, such organisation certainly begins to lose its relevance.
