Abia state governor Okezie Ikpeazu expressed his sincere gratitude to Unubiko Foundation for their support to the state after the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
Ikpeazu in a letter to the chairman/founder of the foundation, Mr James Ume, thanked the foundation for its generous support and ” humanitarian services” provided at a critical juncture.
The governor complimented the foundation’s early efforts in the global cause of fighting against the virus and said he was grateful for the foundation’s N12 million Naira support from Unubiko Foundation.
” This is indeed most patriotic and we urge you not to relent, the governor said in the letter cited by Per Second News on Wednesday.
The Unubiko foundation earlier this month raised its commitment to provide multi-million Naira medical supplies for the state’s response to the outbreak. The foundation also vowed to co-operate with the state in the detection, isolation and treatment of the coronavirus in Abia State.
