Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has questioned the source of the huge sum allegedly displayed in fellow artiste Zlatan Ibile’s bank account.

The singer reacted after Zlatan reportedly shared a screenshot on social media showing an account balance of about ₦500 million, a post that triggered reactions from fans and followers.

Portable expressed disbelief that a Nigerian musician could have such a substantial amount of money in his account purely from music earnings.

According to him, the alleged balance raises questions about the source of the money, suggesting that it may have been generated through activities outside music.

“It’s not possible for a musician to have ₦500m in his account. Most of these musicians are involved in money laundering and cartel businesses,” Portable said.

The Zazoo crooner also questioned how many shows Zlatan had performed recently, challenging the singer to explain how his music activities could have generated such an amount.

He queried the number of performances Zlatan had done and suggested that his earnings from those shows should be made known to his fans.

“Tell your fans the number of shows you performed recently,” Portable challenged Zlatan.

Portable’s latest comments have further reignited the tension between both artistes, who have had a strained relationship for some time.

The singer has previously taken several shots at Zlatan following an incident involving award-winning singer Davido.

Portable had accused Zlatan of blocking his attempt to meet Davido during one of the singer’s shows in the United Kingdom.

According to Portable, Zlatan prevented him from gaining access to Davido at the event, an incident that subsequently became part of his repeated criticisms of the rapper.

His latest remarks therefore bring their past disagreement back into focus, this time with Portable questioning the legitimacy of the wealth allegedly displayed by Zlatan.

Portable maintained that no Nigerian artiste could legitimately have ₦500 million in a bank account from music alone, alleging that such wealth could be linked to money laundering and cartel businesses.
