26 Vessels to Berth at Lagos Ports Aug. 30 to Sept. 13, Says NPA

Twenty-six vessels loaded with petroleum products, food items and other cargoes are scheduled to arrive at Lagos ports from August 30 to September 13, the Nigerian Ports Authority has announced.

PerSecondNews obtained the details from the authority’s Daily “Shipping Position,” released in Lagos on Monday.

Of the expected fleet, 12 ships will bring containers of assorted goods while four tankers will deliver aviation fuel.

The remaining 10 vessels are scheduled to berth with crude oil, petrol, sugar and bulk salt.

Meanwhile, 13 ships and tankers have already reached the three Lagos ports and are waiting to berth.

Those waiting vessels are expected to offload bulk urea, petrol, crude oil, diesel, bulk fertiliser and bulk wheat.

At the same time, 19 vessels are currently discharging cargoes that include bulk urea, containers, general cargoes, bulk pallets, diplomatic cargo, petrol and bulk gas.

The discharging operations are taking place at Lekki Deep Sea Port, Apapa Port and Tincan Island Port.
