President Bola Tinubu has officially endorsed Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, as the APC’s consensus governorship candidate for the 2027 elections.
The endorsement came on Wednesday during a visit by the Lagos Governors Advisory Council (GAC) to the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
This move follows Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s announcement on Monday naming Hamzat as his preferred successor.
Persecondnews recalls that Sanwo-Olu’s backing was made public at Lagos House, Marina, shortly after Hamzat formally declared his candidacy to the State Executive Council and party leadership.
