NPA Announces 21 Ships Unloading Petrol, Diverse Cargoes at Lagos Ports

Twenty-one vessels are currently discharging petroleum products and general cargo at the Apapa, Lekki, and Tin-Can Island ports. This update was confirmed via the Nigerian Ports Authority’s (NPA)

The cargoes being handled include items such as aviation fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, large volumes of gas, vehicle transports, substantial wheat shipments, and additional diesel supplies.

Other commodities include bulk alkaline materials, assorted general freight, large sugar loads, fresh seafood, soybean oil, significant clinker quantities, and containerized shipments.

In addition, the NPA indicated that another 41 vessels carrying fuel products, foodstuffs, and assorted merchandise are scheduled to dock at the Lagos harbours from February 28 to March 7.

These incoming ships are anticipated to deliver a variety of general freight, bulk wheat, bulk sugar, raw petroleum, large fertilizer batches, bulk salt, diverse container loads, and gasoline.

The authority also noted that 17 vessels have already reached the ports and are queued up for docking, prepared to unload bulk urea, diesel, aviation fuel, crude oil, ethanol, bulk wheat, more aviation fuel, general freight, and bulk palletized items.
