Nigerian Afrobeats star Zlatan Ibile and his longtime partner, Davita Lamai, have officially hinted that wedding bells will soon ring for them after publicly confirming plans to tie the knot.
The couple who already share a son broke the news aboard a private jet packed with celebrities heading to Delta State over the weekend for music mogul Soso Soberekon’s star-studded wedding.
In a now-viral video from the flight obtained by Persecondnews, singer Teni, who was seated with actress Ini Edo and other guests, playfully turned to the couple and declared, “Zlatan and Davita are next!”
Responding with a smile, Davita confirmed the announcement, saying, “Yes, we’re next.”
Zlatan also signalled his agreement, adding, “By God’s grace,” as cheers and applause erupted from fellow passengers, who immediately congratulated the couple.
The heartwarming exchange quickly gained traction on social media, with fans celebrating the pair’s decision to take their relationship to the next level after years together.
Zlatan and Davita have been together for several years and welcomed their son, Shiloh, in 2020.
Despite the singer’s celebrity status, the couple have largely kept their relationship away from the public eye, occasionally sharing glimpses of their family life with fans.
