Nigeria’s Oil Production Drops to 1.599m Barrels Per Day

265

Nigeria’s oil output, including condensate, has declined by 5.9% year-on-year to 1.599 million barrels per day (bpd) in November 2025, compared to 1.698 million bpd in the same period in 2014.

This decrease is attributed to various factors, including security concerns and governance gaps.

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), in a report released on Wednesday, noted that the country’s oil production, including condensate, dropped month-on-month from 1.698 million bpd in October 2025 to 1.599 million bpd in November 2025.

The lowest and peak combined crude oil and condensate production in November were 1.54 million bpd and 1.79 million bpd, respectively.

Nigeria’s average crude oil production in November was 96% of its OPEC quota of 1.5 million bpd, with a daily average production of 1,599,054 barrels per day, comprising 1,436,005 bopd of crude oil and 163,049 bopd of condensate.
