A fresh window has opened for candidates with outstanding admission offers from the 2021–2025 admission exercises, with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) extending the deadline to November 30, 2026, to accept or reject the offers on its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
The extension gives affected candidates additional time to take action on admission offers that remain pending on their CAPS profiles.
The Board urged candidates concerned to log into their CAPS accounts, review their admission status and indicate whether they wish to accept or reject their outstanding offers.
“JAMB has extended the deadline for affected candidates to 30 November 2026 to accept or reject their outstanding admission offers on CAPS,” the Board stated in a Post on its official ‘X’ account, on Wednesday, sourced by PerSecondNews.
It warned that candidates who fail to respond before the new deadline risk losing the offers on their admission records.
“After 30 November, outstanding offers that have neither been accepted nor rejected will revert to ‘Not Admitted’ on JAMB’s records,” the Board added.
JAMB also cautioned that requests to update affected admissions after the deadline would attract the applicable penalty fee.
PerSecondNews recalls that JAMB had initially fixed August 31, 2026, as the deadline for affected candidates to accept or reject their outstanding admission offers, before extending it to September 30 to give more candidates time to regularise their admission status.
