Barely 24 hours after her name was reportedly included in a campaign council, actress Toyin Abraham, has firmly declined, making it clear that she has no involvement in the political campaign.
The actress, in a fresh statement obtained by Per Second News on Friday morning, said she was not a member of any campaign council and had already made her decision to stay away from politics known.
“I’m not a member of any campaign council. I have said it recently, I am staying out of politics,” Toyin stated.
She also specifically asked members of the public to disregard any report or document suggesting that she had accepted a position on a campaign committee.
“Please disregard the supposed inclusion of my name in any campaign committee,” she added.
Her denial comes barely a day after her name surfaced among personalities reportedly included in the campaign structure, sparking attention over her alleged involvement.
However, Toyin’s latest statement leaves little ambiguity about her position, as she directly disowned the reported membership and reiterated her decision not to participate in politics.
The actress did not indicate any political affiliation in the statement but focused on distancing herself from the campaign council and correcting the impression created by the reported inclusion of her name.
Her clarification also appears aimed at putting the matter to rest, with Toyin urging the public not to associate her with any campaign committee or political role.
“I’m staying out of politics,” she reiterated.
