Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy has been announced as the headline performer for the halftime show at the 2026 NFL Paris Game, adding another major international stage to his growing list of performances.
The Grammy-winning singer will perform during the clash between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints on Sunday, October 25, at the Stade de France in Paris.
The game will be the NFL’s first regular-season fixture in France.
The performance will form part of the NFL’s record seven halftime shows scheduled across its 2026 International Games, spanning seven countries and four continents.
For Burna Boy, the appearance will mark a return to the Stade de France, where he made history in April 2025 as the first African artiste to headline a solo concert at the stadium.
Reflecting on his return to the venue, Burna Boy said Paris had given him one of the biggest nights of his career and described his upcoming NFL performance as a significant moment.
“The NFL is bringing something to France that has never happened here before, and I get to stand in the middle of it representing African music,” he said.
NFL senior director of global game presentation, music and entertainment, Tim Tubito, said Burna Boy was selected for the halftime show because of the significance of the league’s first game in France and the singer’s connection with the city.
“The first NFL game in France deserves a halftime moment that matches the occasion,” Tubito said.
Burna Boy joins other international artistes announced for the NFL’s 2026 International Games, including Ayra Starr, who will headline the halftime show at the NFL London Game on October 11.
The NFL Paris Game will kick off at 2:30 p.m. local time at the Stade de France, with the matchup between the Steelers and Saints marking a new chapter in the league’s expansion into international markets.
